From Executive Director Dodie Brockamp
I earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Oregon State University, majoring in Liberal Arts and Art, specializing in calligraphy. After returning to Silverton from college, I worked for the Gentzkow Gallery and later taught art for the After School Program through Silver Falls School District and Salem-Keizer School District.
For 30+ years, I served as a Life Enrichment Coordinator (Activities Director) in several long term care facilities, producing events, marketing, and coordinating volunteers, along with social services, discharges and admissions, and outreach.
I have a lot of family in the Silverton-Mt. Angel area, and lots of community support for the local gal. My mother, my daughter, and I all graduated from Silverton High School, and my hope is that my granddaughter will graduate here, too.
In my spare time I like to pursue my art and make my award-winning sweet and spicy green salsa for the Wooden Nickel’s Annual Salsa Contest.
